5/17/2025 Message

LifePoint family,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!

Permanent facility questionnaire:

I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to fill out our questionnaire about the possibility of purchasing land or a facility for our church. So far, we’ve had really great responses. The Executive Team is meeting tomorrow to discuss your input. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete the questionnaire. The link can be found in the emailed newsletter, or you can complete a paper copy at the Welcome Desk on Sunday morning.  Hearing from as many of you as possible is very important to us. Your input matters.

A couple of pieces of land that are “potentials” for us have become available, but time is of the essence. Based on the decision the ET makes tomorrow afternoon, we may need to call a town hall meeting soon. If we do, it “could” take place next Sunday, May 25, during the Pastor’s Class time at 10:00 am. We realize this is Labor Day Sunday, but we may need to act on these opportunities quickly. If we schedule the town hall, we’ll send out a text message and email to let you know asap. Regardless, please pray that we will know God’s plan as we attempt to move forward.

Latest financial report:

Because we sent out the questionnaire last week, we did not send a weekly newsletter. So, we were unable to publish our latest financial report. Please see the emailed newsletter for that report. Thanks to your faithful giving, we continue to gain ground while we minister to numerous needs within our fellowship!

May 31 Workday:

One of our dear sisters at LifePoint Bible Church is in need of some help. Carol Lee's home needs some attention from our LifeBody team. We are looking at scheduling a workday at Carol's house on Saturday, May 31st. The plan is for those who can to meet at her house around 8:00 am. Don Workman has assessed the situation and has a good idea of what needs to be done. Here is the current punch list:

  • Kill the poison ivy - Don will get a contractor to go to the site and spray the poison ivy as soon as possible
  • Tear down fence/weed eat/mow/cleanup yard
  • Repair damaged porch
  • Fix plumbing issues in the house
  • Do further assessment that might need to be addressed while we are there

Please see Don or Gary for the address.

Tomorrow at LifePoint:

  • Pastor’s Class, 10:00 am – our Biblical Types series has been incredible! Tomorrow, we’ll head into the final stretch by beginning a multiple set of lessons on the Tabernacle in the wilderness and how it teaches us amazing things about the Lord and His plan of salvation. This will be a wonderful finale to this entire series. If you’ve missed any of the lessons, all the classes are available on our website at Lbcok.com.

  • Worship/preaching service, 11:00 am – Tomorrow will be the final message in our “Resurrection” series. Although we’ve had a few necessary interruptions along the way, tomorrow’s message, “The Resurrection of the Unsaved,” will wrap up this most important series. As the title indicates, this message will not only discuss the resurrection bodies unbelievers will receive (many have never considered the fact that unbelievers will be resurrected just like believers), but it will also briefly discuss the state of believers and unbelievers between death and the resurrection. Like all the messages in this series, this one is a must to hear. As with the Pastor’s Class, if you’ve missed any of these messages, you can always access them in the sermon library.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
