5/3/2025 Message

I apologize for getting this out so late today, but I’ve been trying to take advantage of the dryer weather to mow our yard and some of the pasture. As you know, the grass and weeds are growing super-fast with this much-needed moisture.

I want to give a special shout-out to all who drove to Weatherford to attend Ron Shepard’s memorial service. We had a great representation from our church, and the service went very well. We gave Ron a great home going.

Don’t forget the Women’s Ministry Event is coming up May 17, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, at Sherri Hamilton’s home/gym, Edmond. For more information, see Pam Fisher, Penny Allen, or Carrey Beth Lehew.

Here’s how tomorrow will look at LifePoint:

  • Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – We’ll continue with our biblical types study with part 9: “Jesus in the Jewish Feasts.” For most of us who do not have Jewish ancestry, we’re often a little “foggy” when it comes to understanding the 7 primary Jewish feasts and their significance. Even though they had a very special purpose for the Israelites in the O.T. era, they have an even deeper meaning that applies directly to us in the N.T. era. Come join us in this amazing study and see what the Jewish feasts are really all about!

  • Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – We’ll be continuing our present series, “Resurrection,” with part 6: “Often asked questions about our resurrection body.” This message will be a continuation of last week’s message about our resurrection body. When discussing this intriguing subject, many questions normally rise to the top. Questions like:
    • What will our new bodies be like?
    • Will we be satisfied with our resurrection bodies?
    • Will we retain our individual identities or be identical to one another?
    • Will our bodies still have scars and marks like Jesus’ body? Scars of Jesus
    • How can God regather our bodies after they’re decayed/gone?

This message will attempt to answer these questions and a few others. Like last week’s part 1 on the resurrection body, you won’t want to miss this one!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,

Dan Fisher
