9/14/2024 Message

Good Friday evening everyone,

This has been an eventful week for our family with the birth of our eighth grandchild and our third granddaughter, Lydia Jane Wise. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers. We’re relieved Lydia’s finally here!

What an amazing response to our Membership Sunday last week. Even with several of our folks gone, we had 188 join LifePoint as charter members. We will keep the charter membership window open until the end of September, so if you want to join as a charter member, be sure to do so before September is gone. If you could not attend last Sunday’s Doorway Class but want to join as a charter member, just go to the LifePoint website and download the class outline, watch the recording of the class, fill out the outline, and turn it in to me (by email attachment or in person). Then we will add you to the charter member list. If you do not have a way to print off the handout, let me know this Sunday and we will make a copy available to you.

Here's how this Sunday will look at LifePoint:

  • Pastor’s Class, 10:00 am – we will finish up part 5 of our Millennial Reign of Jesus series entitled, “Earth’s Golden Age” and then begin part 6, “Why Satan is released at the end of the Millennium.” Part 6 will answer the question that many have asked for years: “Why would God lock up the Devil for a 1000 years and then let him out?” Come learn the answers.

  • Worship/Preaching service, 11:00 am – we will wrap up our “Experiencing God” series with the last installment – Part 9, “Obedience requires ‘some’ field adjustments.”

This is our last chance to remind you of Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic’s annual Walk for Life next Saturday, September 21 at Mineral Wells Park in Guthrie. Here’s the schedule of activities:

9 a.m. - Timed 5K event
10 a.m. - Presentation of 5K awards
10:30 a.m. - Walk

Many are under the mistaken notion that because Roe v. Wade was overturned, abortions are no longer performed in OK. Sadly, that is incorrect. Legal wrangling by the Left still has abortions taking place in our state. This is why it is so important to support a work like Crossroads. Here’s an example of what they accomplished in the last year:

136 mothers who were determined to have an abortion chose life for their baby
The gospel was shared 288 times with 84 making a profession of faith (first-time salvations or rededications)

Crossroads’ two clinics in Oklahoma City and Guthrie are open four days a week and continue seeing clients who are seeking abortions. Check out Britney’s story to see how the Lord is saving babies and transforming lives through the work of Crossroads. Click on this link to hear Britney’s story: Britney’s Story.

I’m looking forward to seeing you this Sunday,
Dan Fisher
