4/5/2025 Message

Snow in April? Oh well, that’s Oklahoma for you.  ?  Just so everyone will know, even though snow is in the forecast, they’re not predicting any accumulation on the ground or hard surfaces.  Just snow on the grassy areas. So, we’re moving forward with our services tomorrow.  Here’s the First Alert 5 forecast – if you trust them:
Important events coming up:

April 10 – Crossroads Clinic Annual Fundraiser, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm, The Dominion House, 818 N. Oak St., Guthrie, OK, Guest speaker: Seth Gruber

April 20 – Easter Services, 10:30 am-12:00 pm, Constitution Hall, UCO, Edmond, OK (no Pastor’s Class at 10:00 am)

May 3 – LifePoint Spring Beginnings Women’s Event, May 3rd from 10:00 am-12:00 pm (Location TBA). Hear the testimonies from some of our ladies of LifePoint, who have grown in their relationship with the Lord over the past year. This will be a great time of encouragement for all who attend. You will not want to miss it! More Details to come...

Beginning this Sunday, a brand new message series:
Apr 6 – Part 1: “It all hinges on this” (How important is the resurrection to Christianity? Can Christianity survive if the resurrection isn’t true? Was Jesus’ resurrection a bodily or spiritual resurrection?  Does it matter? This message will answer these critical questions.)

Apr 13 – Part 2: “The Shroud of Turin – Jesus’ burial cloth, someone else’s, or a hoax? (There have been some amazing discoveries, especially in the last few years, surrounding the Shroud of Turin. This message will discuss the Shroud, its history, the latest discoveries, and attempts to determine if it was the actual burial cloth of Jesus. If it is His burial cloth, what are the implications? *This message will be shared in 2 sessions – Session 1 during the Pastor’s Class at 10:00 am & Session 2 during the Worship/preaching service at 11:00 am.)

Apr 20 – Part 3: “The tragedy and triumph of the cross & tomb” (This service and message will contemplate and celebrate the events leading to the cross, the burial, and the empty tomb. Then we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.) *No Pastor’s Class – worship service at 10:30 am-12:00 pm

Apr 27 – Part 4: “Is the resurrection of Jesus a provable fact?” (Is the historical Jesus a real person?  Did He die on a cross?  What do the secular scholars say?  Did He really rise from the grave, or is that simply a fable added to Christianity over the years to make it more supernatural? Is there any way to prove the resurrection actually happened?)

Tomorrow’s services:
Pastor’s Class, 10:00 am – We will continue our Biblical Types series with Part 7: “The Kinsman Redeemer.” The “kinsman redeemer” is a prominent subject discussed in Scripture, and yet, most believers miss both the Old & New Testament’s revelation on the subject and how it affects our eternity. Come hear this amazing lesson.

Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – We will celebrate Jesus with some wonderful worship songs and then begin our new series, “Resurrection,” with Part 1: “It all hinges on this.” *See description above.

At the end of tomorrow’s service, we will have a special commissioning time for our shepherds who will lead our Shepherding Ministry.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow,

Dan Fisher
