Good evening LifePoint,
I apologize for getting this newsletter out so late, but I’ve been hooked up and couldn’t get to it until now. There are some important things I need to share with you, so be sure and take a quick look.
Tomorrow morning, our nominees to the LifePoint Executive Team (Ike Buress and Chuck McDowell) will begin giving their personal testimonies. Ike will go first as he takes 10 minutes at the beginning of the Pastor’s Class to share. When Ike is finished, we’ll begin the lesson. Please try to come and hear how God has brought Ike and Peggy through their spiritual journey to this point. I know you’ll enjoy hearing their story.
On March 9, Chuck McDowell will be sharing his personal testimony at the beginning of the Pastor’s Class. I’m looking forward to hearing how God has brought Chuck and Beth to this point in their journey.
Note: It’s important that our church knows enough about the spiritual journey of these nominees to make an informed decision on placing them on the ET. We’ll likely vote on them on March 16 at the beginning of the Pastor’s Class. I’m excited about what these two men and their wives will bring to the leadership team of LifePoint.
Shepherd’s Ministry training, Mar 9: We will have our shepherd’s training after church on March 9 as we get ready to bring our Shepherds Ministry online. This ministry is going to be a big blessing to our church. I’m so appreciative of Carl and Penny Allen’s leadership and for all of the potential shepherds who have agreed to serve.
Jim Putnam coming to LifePoint: On Mar 9, we’ll shorten the worship service up just a bit and take about 10 minutes at the end to hear from Jim Putnam, who is running for District 5 of the Edmond Public School Board. I’m hearing Jim is a man who embraces the principles we hold dear at LifePoint. It’s so important that we elect good people to serve on the school boards of our public schools. So, if you live in EPS Dist 5, you’ll especially want to hear Jim’s story.
Here's how tomorrow will look:
Pastor’s Class, 10:00 am: We will continue part 4 of our Biblical Types series as we discover how Noah’s Ark is a perfect picture of salvation in Jesus. This is one of the most inspiring types in all of Scripture. Hope to see you in the class.
Worship/preaching Service, 11:00 am: We will continue our message series, “Winning Our World” with part 4. This is an important series in the life of our church and if you’ve missed any of the messages, you can listen to them on our website at LBCOK.com.
That’s it for now.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow,
