LifePoint Family,
God’s amazing grace is poured out on LifePoint!
No doubt, everyone has now heard the miraculous news of how God has answered our prayers over and above what we had asked and has given us 7.6 acres on which to build our new church plant. As Eph 3:20 puts it, He has truly done “exceedingly, abundantly, above what we could have asked or thought!” And what a service we had this past Sunday to celebrate. If you missed it, the sharing portion of the service will soon be on our church website; however, unfortunately, the incredible worship/praise service we experienced isn’t. Wow!! What a day we enjoyed at LifePoint. Our best service yet!
Go see the land
If you haven’t had the chance to drive by and look at our new location, let me encourage you to do so. The acreage is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of 33rd and S. Bryant streets, right in the heart of Edmond. Go by there, take a gander, and thank the Lord again for His amazing grace He has shown us!
Our building schedule has changed!
Because of this gift, our schedule has been moved up by at least 3 years! Although we anticipated not being able to build for 3-4 years, with the gift of the land, all of that has changed. We must immediately begin working on rough drawings of the facility we will need to build, have an official site plan drawn up for us, and begin taking the early steps with our attorney as he navigates us through the building requirements of Edmond. Needless to say, we must begin praying for God’s guidance as we forge ahead. What an exciting time this is – and will be!
Special Business Meeting this Sunday
Since we will no longer be purchasing the 6 acres on N. Kelly and Coffee Creek, we need to resend the decision we made to do so on Aug 17. Therefore, we will have a VERY short business meeting this Sunday at 10:00 am right before the Pastor’s/BRR Class. Because I am fairly certain most of us would rather accept the “free” 7.6 acres at 33rd and S. Bryant than pay $1.5 million for the 6 acres on N. Kelly and Coffee Creek, we will simply have a hand vote rather than using ballots.
And finally …
I want to express my gratitude to the owners of the 6 acres on N. Kelly/Coffee Creek for their graciousness and patience as we worked through this process. They were incredible to work with. We pray they will soon find a buyer for that property. On behalf of the LifePoint Bible congregation, thank you, and God bless you, John.
If you can’t tell, I’m excited!
