Hello LifePoint family,
I hope everyone is having a great week. Congratulations to all of the “true” conservatives who were victorious in last Tuesday’s elections. Don’t forget to continue to pray for and support those who will have to be in a runoff later this August.
Here are some items of importance this week:
1. Our BodyLife Ministry is meeting at Phyllis Austin’s home at 1521 One Creek Dr, Guthrie, tomorrow morning (Saturday, June 22) at 8:00am for another workday. The work is scheduled to conclude at noon before it gets too hot. If you have a weed eater or a pump-up sprayer, bring them. Once again, a special thanks to Don and Julie Workman for leading this project. Don’t forget to bring something cool to drink.
2. Saturday, Beverly White will be celebrating the life of her husband, Mark. Mark went to be with the Lord a few weeks ago and Beverly is hosting a small “celebration of Mark’s life” in their home. Pam and I will be there so we will not be able to join the workday in Guthrie – sorry guys. I know Beverly would appreciate your prayers.
3. For those of you who were either planning to attend the Black Robe presentation in Paul’s Valley next Sunday evening, June 30, or if you had family/friends in that area you were encouraging to attend that event, you need to know that, because of calendar scheduling conflicts at that church, the presentation has been moved to August 11. I’ll keep you updated about this event as we get closer.
4. In the 10:00am Pastor’s Class Sunday morning, we’ll continue our “Millennial Reign of Jesus” series. This week’s lesson is entitled, “The ‘Judgment of the Nations’ & who will live in the Millennium.” You won’t want to miss it.
5. In the 11:00am worship/preaching service, we’ll continue our series, “Experiencing God.” This Sunday’s message is entitled, “God desires to do ‘God-sized’ tasks through you!” We’ll answer questions such as:
• “What does a ‘God-sized’ task look like?”
• “Does God really want to work through me?”
• “How do I participate in ‘God-sized’ tasks?”
Have a great Saturday and I’ll see you this Sunday morning,
Dan
