9/28/2024 Message

Good morning LifePoint Family,

I hope you had a great week. A few things of interest for this week’s newsletter:

1. A special thanks to all who participated in Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic’s annual Walk-a-thon last Saturday. I know the Crossroads staff appreciated all the effort. I want to give a special thank you to Crossroads for the incredible work they do saving babies and ministering to their moms. What a privilege to be able to partner with Linda and Amy and the rest of the folks at Crossroads. If you are looking for a place deserving of any extra gifts beyond your support of LifePoint, Crossroads is a worthy option. You can give through the church if you like, and we’ll be certain all the funds go directly to helping Crossroads fulfill their noble mission. Also, if you would ever feel led to volunteer, I’m certain they can use the help. See Amy Bachelor for more information.

2. LifePoint’s Women’s Ministry is off to a fast start this fall. In addition to their small group Bible studies, they are sponsoring a Taste of the Holidays fellowship Oct 5.

LifePoint Bible Church Women’s Ministry
A taste of the holidays event
Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Will Roger’s Center 3400 NW 36th, OKC, OK

Please stop by the welcome table and get your flyer and recipe cards for the event.
We’d love for you to bring your favorite holiday dish—whether it’s savory or sweet—to share with everyone. Please bring two copies of your recipe; we’ll provide the template for you. An email will soon come with those recipe submission details. One copy will go with your dish, and the other will help our recipe coordinator as we create a “Taste of the Holidays” cookbook for LifePoint Church! All proceeds from the cookbook will support our ministry. Let’s celebrate the seasons together and share our delicious traditions! If you have any questions, please contact Carreybeth or Penny.

3. As we move into the fall and holiday season, we are working on getting a number of ministries up and running. We hope to have the Leadership Team online in the next few weeks. Additionally, we hope to launch an incredible ministry called our LifePoint Shepherding Ministry. You’ll be hearing more about that very soon. And after the new year, we need to begin focusing on a more permanent home for LifePoint. I’m confident that God has an incredible plan for us. Please be praying that He will make that plan clear to us and open the doors we need to walk through.

4. We will keep the charter membership window open until the end of September, so if you want to join as a charter member, be sure to do so before September is gone. If you could not attend the most recent Sunday’s Doorway Class but want to join as a charter member, just go to the LifePoint website and download the class outline, watch the recording of the class, fill out the outline, and turn it in to me (by email attachment or in person). Then we will add you to the charter member list. If you do not have a way to print off the handout, let me know this Sunday and we will make a copy available to you.

This Sunday at LifePoint:

Pastor’s Class, 10:00am – back by popular demand, another Q&A session on end time prophecy and the Millennium. Bring your questions. It’ll be fun – don’t miss it!

Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00am – I will preaching a message entitled, “What’s your price?”

We have many in our congregation who are facing challenges of different kinds. Please keep them in your prayers. Especially remember Matt Strait and Dave and Kafie Carman. Dave was involved in a horrible boating accident yesterday and hit someone on a jet ski. Dave was thrown from his boat and banged up, but is OK. However, the person on the jet ski was killed. As you can imagine, he and Kafie are devastated over this. Matt’s brother experienced a massive stroke and Matt and his family are dealing with his soon passing. I know all of these folks would appreciate your prayers.

Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
