Praying everyone has had a great week!

Land update

Now, with the holidays past, the Executive Team has renewed our efforts to get the process going that will eventually lead us to the official acquisition of the land on 33rd and S. Bryant.

This Wednesday, we will be meeting with a firm that could potentially draw up a site plan, help us secure a “special use” permit, and then take us all the way to the building permit and the deeding of the property to LifePoint.

So far, we know this process has been painstakingly slow, but we’re being told by everyone that this is typical.  As we move forward, we will keep everyone updated as to our progress.  If we reach the place where we need to spend a significant amount of money in order to continue moving forward, we will bring that to the congregation for approval.

Please be praying that God will clear the way and make His will obvious to us.  As I know you are aware, we only want His perfect will for our church.

LifePoint Women’s Ministry

  • All our Bible studies will start back this coming week of Jan 12-16.

  • You can still sign up for the Tuesday evening Kay Arthur Bible study, “Spiritual Warfare: Overcoming the Enemy.”  Susan Cro will be teaching the class that will presently be meeting in the home of Robert & Pam Jackson (see Susan or the emailed newsletter for address).

  • We are still looking for a permanent host home (preferably in east Edmond) for the new Tuesday night study.

  • Please contact the Women’s Min. leadership team if you have any questions or would consider hosting a study. (See the emailed newsletter for more details.)

Tomorrow at LifePoint

  • Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10 am – we will complete our study on the Nephilim (giants) of Gen 6:1-4, and then discuss the “strange” passage in Jude 8-11 where Michael guards the body of Moses and withstands Satan.  What in the world is that all about?  We’ll find out.  Come join us!

  • Worship/Service, 11 am – we will begin a brand-new sermon series entitled, “Saved.”  This important series will remind us from what, for what, and to what we’re saved and will discuss topics like election, eternal security, ending life by suicide, eternal conscious torment vs. annihilation.  This proves to be a power-packed series and one you’ll not want to miss.

 Members needing prayer

Although I am always hesitant to mention specific prayer needs by name because I know I will not list every one (please forgive me if I overlook any), I do want to bring you a few updates and remind you to pray for these needs:

  • John Williams is progressing from his falls and has been moved to the Oklahoma City Rehabilitation Hospital at 10240 N. Broadway.  I know he and Cheryl appreciate your prayers and contacts.

  • Paul Kozlosky is continuing his chemo treatments in Arizona.  He is holding his own right now and he and Sonya desire your prayers.  If you get a chance, reach out to them.  I know they would be blessed.

  • Cheryle Conser is still battling with a torn ankle tendon.  Pray for the doctors to know how to treat her.

  • Remember Bob and LeWanda O’Day as Lewanda continues to battle with her cancer.

  • Paul Kelly continues to make progress in his recovery.  Remember him in your prayers as well.

End-of-year giving statements

Val has 2025 Giving Statements ready for pickup at the Welcome Desk—stop by anytime! I've never witnessed a more generous church family. Through your faithful giving, God is at work in mighty ways. What an honor it is to serve among you.

As always, I look forward to worshipping with you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
