Please be in prayer for Dale Allen and family as his wife, Jackie Allen, passed away October 1 after heart surgery complications. We love this family dearly.

Ida Jacquelyn Allen
July 30, 1944 — October 1, 2025
Ida Jacquelyn Allen passed away on October 1, 2025. She no doubt heard “well done my good and faithful servant” as she embraced her Savior Jesus Christ. As we imagine all of the heavenly family reunions, our hearts are comforted. Jackie was born on July 30, 1944, to Hazel and Eugene Bucke of Coyle, Oklahoma. She was the sixth child and “final edition” of the Bucke girls. She and her sisters got their strong work ethic from long days working on the family farm that her grandfather homesteaded in the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. As a youth, she enjoyed playing basketball, singing alto, playing piano, 4H club, sewing and church activities. Jackie surrendered her life to Christ at the age of nine. This faith would carry her through many difficult days ahead.
Education was important to the Bucke family. Jackie had the honor of being the first Caucasian student to complete all four years of study at Langston University, a historically black University. She worked in higher education financial aid until she retired in 2003. She was known to adopt a student in need and buy their books. Jackie also served her country proudly in the Navy Reserves. She stayed busy after retirement by serving others. She is well known for the trees she thoughtfully crafted for those she loved. She continued this ministry right up until she passed into glory. She brought so much joy to so many. Jackie enjoyed her Hallmark ornaments, but more than that she loves sharing them with others. Her legacy of thoughtful giving will be passed down for generations to come.
Jackie met the love of her life at the tender age of seven. She and her husband, Dale were childhood family friends. Dale’s father outbid him for her meal at the town box supper, but in the end, Dale won her heart. Dale and Jackie have a beautifully blended family made up of five daughters and one son. The daughters include Ronda Maner, Ashleigh Thiergood, Shelley, Nicholson, Dena Monroe, and Christy Soares. Jackie was proceeded in death by her precious son Randy Maner 34 years ago. Oh, to have seen their beautiful reunion. She was also proceeded in death by her sisters, Thelma, Jane Bucke, Anna Waite, Mildred Hoag, and their loving parents, Hazel, and Eugene. She is survived by her loving sisters, Eva Mears and Velma Langwell, along with her daughters, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Jackie’s earthly life was an example of working hard, loving well, planning for the future, and serving others. She showed those around her that you can endure unimaginable trials with dignity and even a touch of class. She always pointed to her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her strength.

Women’s Ministry
As I am writing this letter, our Women’s Ministry is hosting their “Sharing Christ in the Holy Days” fall event. I know the gals are not only enjoying that great time of fellowship but are also gaining a few tips on how to share Jesus with their unsaved family members and friends during the coming holiday season. I want to express my sincere thanks to Penny Allen, Carrey Beth Lehew, Pam Fisher, and all of those who help lead the Bible studies for your valuable work. LifePoint is a better church because of what you do for Him.
A wedding is coming to LifePoint
We will have a very special treat coming up next Sunday, Oct 12. Zeb Epley and Gina Ledlow will exchange their vows at the very end of our morning service, and we get to celebrate that moment with them. Afterwards, there will be a short reception in the lobby. Stop by for just a moment on your way out and express your congratulations to Zeb and Gina. We will also have a “money tree” where we can give gifts to help this new couple as they begin their lives together.

Tomorrow at LifePoint:
- Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – we will continue our “Truths About Truth” lesson series by finishing “Tolerance or truth” we’ve been studying the past couple of weeks. Once we finish that lesson, we’ll begin a new one entitled, “Does evil disprove the existence of God?” Come join us.
- Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – we will continue our “Are We Nearing the Bottom of the Barrel?” message series with part 3: “Why 2025 is bringing a new level of violence to America.” Although violence has always been a sad part of our lives, our culture seems to be experiencing a new, accelerated, and more brutal level of violence. Why is this happening? I believe Scripture gives us a very clear answer. Come learn what the Bible and sociologists are telling us. This information is a must for each of us and for the future welfare of our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
As always, I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
