Tomorrow is a big day at LifePoint!
First …
Jim Rankin with Adventures in Truth is coming to LifePoint! Jim is an old friend and an incredible bible historian and Christian missionary. He is one of the leading authorities on the Ark of the Covenant and its likely journey to Ethiopia centuries ago and its likely whereabouts today. Jim and his wife, Sherri, have spent a huge part of their lives investigating the Ethiopians’ claim to be the caretakers of the Ark to this very day. Jim will be sharing about this amazing artifact and his incredible journey to discover if the Ethiopians really do have the Ark of the Covenant.
However, in the process of working with the Ethiopians, God opened a door for Jim and Sherri to begin a Gospel outreach to the Ethiopian people themselves. If you remember, Acts 8 tellsabout how the Apostle Philip was on the road to Gaza (contrast this will today’s news about that region) when he was used by the Holy Spirit to lead an Ethiopian dignitary to Christ. History indicates that this man went back home to Ethiopia and sharedhis new faith in Christ, and this led to Ethiopia becoming a Christian nation for centuries. Unfortunately, over time the Ethiopians strayed spiritually and today practice a Coptic form of Christianity mixing works and superstition with the Gospel, thus creating a quasi-Christian culture. Adventures in Truth is making great inroads into that culture and is winning many Ethiopians to the “true” Christian faith and is training local men to become pastors so that they can reach their fellow Ethiopians.

Tomorrow, we will not only have the chance to hear Jim in both the Pastor’s/BRR Class at 10:00 am and in the Worship/Preaching Service at 11:00 am, but we will also have an opportunity to give to this wonderful work of reaching the Ethiopians for Jesus. So, be praying about how the Lord would want you to contribute to this worthy cause.
Second …
We have streamlined the schedule so we will have a few minutes to participate in a short wedding ceremony for Zeb Epley and Gina Ledlow at the very end of the service. There will be a short reception for Zeb and Gina in the lobby, and a money tree will be there for those who want to give a gift to help them begin their new life together.

Also after the Service …
Jim’s amazing relics and ministry materials will be available in the lobby for viewing and purchase and Jim and Sherri will be available to answer your questions or to visit with you about their work.
So as you can see, tomorrow will be a great day at LifePoint! You won’t want to miss it!
