Good morning LifePoint family,
Hope you’ve had a great week and you’re getting off to a good start in 2025!
Now that the holidays are in our rearview mirror, things have slowed a bit. So, this week’s newsletter will be shorter than normal.
I do want to remind those of you who live in Oklahoma County to see Ashley Hall if you would like to sign the petition calling for a Grand Jury investigation of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS). There are numerous “apparent” problems with their operations that need to be investigated. Ashley must turn in this petition Monday, so this Sunday is your last opportunity to sign. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Ashley if you want more information. Her cell# is (405) 535-9771.
Val wanted me to let you know that she is working on closing out the church books for 2024 and should have the giving statements ready very soon. If you have any questions, reach out to Val.
Here’s how this Sunday will look:
Pastor’s Class, 10:00am – Because some of the questions sent in over the past few weeks have taken so much time to answer, our time for questions from the floor has been short. So, this Sunday we will have our last Q&A time (at least for a while). Bring your questions, and as Gary Davis fondly says, “stump the chump” – which isn’t really all that hard. ??
Worship/preaching service, 11:00am – This Sunday I will be preaching a message entitled, “Because the Man on the middle cross said I could.” All of us struggle from time to time with assurance of our salvation. The devil wants you to be anything but confident of your salvation, so he and his demons do all they can to make you doubt and be uncertain. This message will definitely be a blessing if you’ve been having doubts whether you or someone you love is truly saved. This is critical since assurance of our salvation is vital to our being able to mature as a believer.
As always, I’m looking forward to worshipping with you this Sunday,
Dan Fisher
