Hope all of you had a great week and are enjoying a wonderful Saturday.
A special thanks to the guys who helped move Laney Holmberg on Wednesday. We got everything moved in about 2 hrs! I know Laney and her mother, Sharon Humphries, were very appreciative. You guys are the greatest.
Annual Budget presentation
Tomorrow at 10:00 am, we will have our annual business meeting to approve the church budget for 2026. Gary Davis will give a brief update on how this year’s giving and budget are going and will then present the 2026 budget that the Executive Team is proposing. Gary and the E.T. (primarily Gary) have been working on this budget since early fall, and you will be blessed to hear how financially strong our church is.
*The business meeting should not take the whole hour, so if there is time after the budget has been approved, we will continue our Pastor’s/BRR class study we began last week on the Book of Enoch.
Christmas season is here!
Tomorrow, we begin our official celebration of Christmas. We’ll begin singing Christmas songs and I’ll start a 3-part message entitled “Incarnate.” More about that later.
Special Christmas lunch
On Dec 14, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, LifePoint will host its second annual Christmas lunch for our widows, widowers, and senior adults. Last week, we began compiling a list of names, but very few signed up. That may be due to my not explaining who is invited clearly. So, let me attempt to clarify: if you attended the lunch last year or are a widow, widower, or one of our senior adult families, this lunch is for you. Pam and I are looking forward to celebrating with all of you on Dec. 14. It is important that we get a headcount for this event. For your convenience, you can sign up at the welcome desk on Sunday. Check your email inbox for the location and more details.
LifePoint Women’s Ministry

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our teaching team beginning January 2026! Welcome: Cheryl Williams, Kari Chynoweth, and Susan Cro as our newest teachers. Thank you gals for stepping up to serve.
Coming in 2026:
- Wed., Jan 14, 2026 – the Colossians' Bible study will continue with Cheryl Williams and Kari Chynoweth leading. It will continue to meet on Wed. evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in Margaret Bobbin's home.
- New study beginning Jan 2026 – “Spiritual Warfare: Overcoming the Enemy,” by Kay Arthur, David & BJ Lawson. This new study will be led by Susan Cro on Tuesday or Thursday evenings (depending on who signs up) from 6:00 – 7:30 pm., and will meet in Pam Jackson’s home at 3025 Spyglass Hill Rd, Edmond.
- Beginning February 4 – Precepts study from the “Know God Deeply Study Series,” entitled, “The Purpose of Prayer.” This study will be led by Pam Fisher on Wednesday mornings from 10-12 in Linda Barger’s home at 6808 Chelsey Lane OKC.
Tomorrow at LifePoint
- Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – annual budget presentation. If there is time afterwards, we will continue the study we began last week: “The Book of Enoch – should it be in the Bible?” We got off to a great start last week on this intriguing study. Come join us – there’s more to this study than just the Book of Enoch!
- Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – we will begin a 3-part Christmas message series entitled, “Incarnate.” There’s a lot more to Christmas than a baby in a manger, shepherds, wise men, carols, decorations, and presents. God becoming flesh is one of the most important doctrines of the Christian faith. And yet, the average believer cannot articulate why. This series will help equip us to better understand and explain the wonder of God becoming “one of us.”
As always, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
