I hope everyone had a blessed and Merry Christmas. It’s hard to believe, but tomorrow is the last Sunday of 2024.
Given that fact, I will be preaching a sermon entitled, “What a year may bring.” Looking back over this year, I can hardly comprehend how momentous it was – for all of us. This simply helps to remind us that a single year can be life-altering. Understanding this fact can help us prepare and make the most of the new year now upon us. I pray this message will not only be a great time of reflection, but also a useful time of preparing for the future.
So, here's how tomorrow’s services will look:
Pastor’s Class, 10:00am – back by popular demand: Q&A
Worship/Preaching service, 11:00am – “What a year may bring”
As 2024 is passing, Gary and Val want to share this about end of the year giving and tax information for 2024:
As we look back in review of 2024, we’re overwhelmed by your generosity and the goodness of God! He’s done more in our lives and church this year than we could’ve imagined. What an incredible honor it is to be a part of this church family. If you’ve been prayerfully considering making a year-end gift, here are a few things to remember:
Giving in person: This Sunday, December 29, is the last opportunity to give in person during services. If you would like your in-person tithe or year-end offering to be included in your 2024 giving statement, it must be received during services this Sunday.
Giving online: If you choose to give online at LBCOK.com/Give or through our church app, donations time stamped by 11:59pm CST on Tuesday, December 31, will also be included in this year’s giving statement.
Giving by mail: Gifts made by check can also be mailed to the LifePoint office. Gifts postmarked by Tuesday, December 31, will also be included in your 2024 giving statement.
It is our goal to have your giving statements ready as early as possible (on or before January 19, 2025). When they are ready, we will notify you in the weekly newsletter ahead of that Sunday service. Statements will be in an envelope, in a box, arranged alphabetically by last name and available for pickup at the welcome desk. These statements will be available for at least two consecutive Sundays (January 19 & 26, 2025). Statements not picked up after that timeframe will then be mailed (or emailed if no physical address is available) to the address we have on file.
If you’ve moved or are not sure the church has your current info, please make sure you update your mailing address (and any other contact information) by seeing/emailing Val. Simply updating on the app or in the directory will not send us an alert of the change (though you are always welcome to update there as well). It’s important to alert Val of that change.
As always, I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday,
