12/14/2024 Message

Hello LifePoint family,

I hope everyone is having a great week! Here’s the LifePoint news for the week:

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Budget Presentation Meeting last Sunday. Gary Davis did a great job of reviewing the 2024 budget and reporting on how we are doing financially. Thanks to your faithfulness, LifePoint is in great financial shape. Gary also did a great job of presenting the budget for 2025 and the proposed budget received a unanimous vote! If you have any questions about the budget or our finances in general, don’t hesitate to contact Gary.

Baby shower this Sunday – a baby shower table will be set up in the church lobby for Jake and Katie Johnson who are expecting their first child, Eloise Grace Johnson. You can be a blessing to this young family by bringing a gift and leaving it at the table.

Next OK State Dept. of Ed meeting – Ashley Hall is inviting everyone to the next OK State Department of Education meeting. Here are the details:
   · Date: Dec.19, 2024
   · Time: 1:00 PM
   · Place: 2500 N Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City (Oliver Hodge Building)
A pre-meeting prayer time will occur at 11:00 AM at the OKGOP Dewey Bartlett building at 4031 N Lincoln Blvd. If you plan to stay for the OSDE board meeting, stop by the OSDE to sign up before coming to the prayer time. For more information, contact Ashley at (405) 535-9771.

Our LifePoint Women’s Ministry's “Taste of the Holidays” cookbooks are for sale at the Constitution Hall welcome center. They are $15.00 per book and would make a great Christmas gift.

If you would like to go Christmas caroling this season, please see Teri Lopes! The adults & kids plan to stroll the hallways at Bradford Village and bring blessings to those in need. They will gather Sunday, Dec 15, at 2pm, Bradford Village, 906 N Boulevard St, Edmond, OK. If you have any questions, please see Teri Lopes.  More info can also be found at this Facebook link (click here).

This Sunday at LifePoint:
  • Pastor’s Class, 10:00 am – I will answer the question that came up in the Q&A time two weeks ago: “Will there be degrees of punishment in hell?” After we discuss the answer, we’ll commit what time is remaining for more Q&A. So, bring your questions and we’ll discuss the answers.

  • Worship/Preaching service, 11:00 am – we will continue our Christmas message series, “Finding ‘holy days’ in the holidays,” with part 2: “Keeping in-laws from becoming holiday outlaws.” Unfortunately, the holiday season can bring out the combative spirit in some relatives/friends. How can we take steps to avoid conflict in the time of the year intended to bring the most peace? This message will help.

As always, I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday,
Dan
