LifePoint family,
Tomorrow and next Sunday are incredibly special days on the Christian calendar – Palm Sunday & Resurrection Sunday. Palm Sunday celebrates the day that Jesus presented Himself to the people to be inspected as the “spotless lamb who takes away the sins of the world.” That day began His week-long trip to Golgotha, ending with a bloody cross. Of course, the next Sunday celebrates the capstone of our faith – Jesus’ resurrection! It was on that day that Jesus’ disciples discovered He was alive from the dead! As Paul wrote to the Corinthian believers, without Jesus’ resurrection, our faith is useless. Thank God, He is alive and our faith is valid!
Given this, we have carefully planned the next two Sunday services to help us celebrate these two significant days. Each will be saturated with spiritual significance. You won’t want to miss either one!
Tomorrow at LifePoint
•Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10am – we will begin with a short town hall meeting to give an update on our quest to purchase the Event Center on N. Eastern. Then we will continue our lesson series, “Getting Scripture Right.” We will take the laws of Hermeneutics we learned last week and use them to begin deciphering difficult passages of Scripture that so many misinterpret. Come learn how to get Scripture right!
•Worship/Preaching Service, 11am – because it is Palm Sunday, tomorrow we will hit the pause button on our “Saved” message series and our ongoing discussion of the eternal conscious torment of the lost to focus on why Palm Sunday ever happened. Is there more to it than Jesus riding a donkey colt and a crowd waving palm branches while shouting praises? Why begin a week this way to only end it with 3 spike nails, a crown of thorns, and a bloody cross? Is there more to Palm Sunday than meets the eye? You can always be assured that with Jesus, there always is. Come learn the deeper reason Jesus did what He did on that special day. (We will resume our discussion of eternal conscious torment on Apr 12.)

Resurrection Sunday
Next Sunday is the biggest day of the year for the Christ follower. Because Resurrection Sunday is so important/special to the Body of Christ, we have altered our normal Sunday schedule. Instead of having our regular Pastor’s/BRR Class at 10am, we will begin our worship/preaching service at 10:30am and wrap up at 12:15pm.
Starting at 9:30am, Beth and our hospitality team will “pull out the stops” for us and have a bountiful offering of breakfast treats for us. So plan on arriving early for a great time of fellowship and breakfast snacks. Thank you Beth and the whole hospitality team for your incredible service to our church!
During the service, we will enjoy an extended time of worship, an apologetic message offering numerous proofs of Jesus’ resurrection, and a special Lord’s Supper celebration. You won’t want to miss it!
