Hey LifePoint gang,
Hope you’re having a great Resurrection Sunday Eve.
Resurrection Sunday is here!
Christ is risen! Even though every Sunday is Resurrection Sunday, tomorrow is our annual “special” observance of Christ’s resurrection and victory over death. We will alter our normal schedule with only one service at 10:30am – 12:15pm. We’ll enjoy a great time of worship and a wonderful observance of the Lord’s Supper.
(*A special word about the Lord’s Supper: Scripture teaches that only born-again believers who are walking in obedience to the Lord should participate in the memorial we call the Lord’s Supper. Even if you are confident of your salvation, it’s still always good to do a little “spiritual house cleaning” before participating in this sacred memorial celebration. If you have younger children who want to participate, be sure they have made a personal commitment to Jesus and that they understand what the Lord’s Supper is about.)
Additionally, I will be preaching a strong, apologetic message about the proofs of the claims of Christ – adding to the messages I preached last April that included a two-part exhaustive discussion of the amazing Shroud of Turin – the burial cloth of Jesus (Apr 13) and “The 5 E’s of the Resurrection” (Apr 20). If you did not get to hear those messages, if you would like to re-listen to them, and/or send them to someone who needs to hear them, you can find them on our website by clicking here.
Concerning tomorrow’s sermon, if you have any family or friends who are wavering between faith and unbelief, they need to hear the message, so do everything you can to get them there.
Hope you’re having a great Resurrection Sunday Eve.

Resurrection morning breakfast snacks & fellowship
As I have mentioned the past couple of weeks, Beth and her team are preparing a wonderful spread of breakfast snacks/treats for tomorrow. They will begin serving at 9:30am, so come to church early and dig in! Thank you Beth and team for all the hard work you put forth for us every week. You guys are the greatest!
Exciting news on our potential new church home!
We have been able to come to a tentative agreement with the owners of the Montellano Event Center on N. Eastern! As we speak, a contract is being prepared that will make it possible for us to not only purchase the property, but with a little extra fundraising, allow us to do the necessary expansion to the auditorium we need to make it functional as our future home.
Once the contract is completed and our attorney gives us the green light, we will announce a special business meeting for discussion and approval of the final purchase. And then … we are on our way to closing in July and beginning construction later this summer. Continue to pray that God’s will is done as we take this important step.
Crossroads annual fundraiser
Don’t forget that this year’s Crossroads Clinic fundraiser will be this week, April 9, at 6:30pm-8:30pm at The Dominion House, 818 N Oak St, Guthrie. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Everett Piper. For more information, see Amy Bachelor or call Linda Stewart at (405) 282-6322.

“The Passion of the Christ” returns to the big screen at LifePoint
If you’re like me, few movies ever impacted you more than Mel Gibson’s movie. Can you believe that movie was released 22 years ago?
Well, we are working on hosting a special Sunday evening showing of that amazing movie on our big screen in UCO’s Constitution Hall (where we have services every Sunday). This event will occur in the next few weeks and we will need everyone to register for this FREE event plus invite friends and family to attend. We’ll keep you posted and will send a registration link as soon as a date and time are confirmed. It’ll be great!!
The sequel to The Passion of the Christ is coming soon and we will plan to see those as a church at the theater upon release as well. The sequel is entitled The Resurrection of the Christ. It has been split into two parts, both scheduled for theatrical release in 2027 via Lionsgate.
Special prayer requests
Even though there are many in our congregation who need our prayers and I would never want to overlook or minimize anyone, there are a couple of prayer needs I would like to bring to your attention.
• John Williams is back in the hospital and is not doing well. I know he and Cheryl would appreciate your prayers.
• Val was back in the hospital this week battling the kidney issue that flares up every 6-12 mos. Thankfully, she’s back home and planning on being in services tomorrow. However, I know she would also appreciate your prayers in healing and finding a doctor with the answers as to why she cannot stop making kidney stones as they scar her kidneys.
I look forward to celebrating Jesus’ resurrection with you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
