5/2/2026 MESSAGE

Good afternoon LifePoint family,

Here are a few things of interest for you.

Women’s Ministry Event A Great Success

Our Women’s Ministry pulled off another successful gathering this past Tuesday.  I’m told it was well attended and the gals had a great time.  I want to express a special thanks to everyone who made it happen.  You gals are doing a great work!

Special Speaker tomorrow

As most of you know, the primary elections are not far away.  This June, we will have the opportunity to choose who we believe are the best candidates for the general election in the fall.  Several statewide races are of particular interest – particularly the races for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general.

Tomorrow, we will have the unique opportunity to hear from Jon Echols, one of the candidates running for attorney general.  Jon has been a good personal friend for years. He and I were elected to the OK House of Representatives the same year and now that Jon has finished his full 12 yrs in the Legislature, he is running to become our state’s next attorney general.  Jon is a committed Christian and a man, I believe, is uniquely qualified to serve in this critical office.

Jon will take about 10 min in our 11:00 service to share his personal testimony and about why he believes we should consider him for our next OK Attorney General. He’ll be hanging around after service to meet you and answer any questions you have. You’ll enjoy hearing Jon and getting to know him.

Event Center update

We had a great and productive meeting with the owners of the Event Center and their bank this past Thursday.  The bank’s directors will consider our offer next week and we should know by Friday if things are a “go” on the purchase.  Be praying that God directs things in the way He wants them to go.

If things are a “go,” we should be able to close by July 1, and construction could begin by late summer or early fall.  If so, we could be in the new facility by next Easter!

Tomorrow at LifePoint

Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10 am – we will finish our lesson series, “Getting Scripture Right,” as we learn how to properly interpret/understand difficult biblical passages.  Tomorrow, we’ll investigate what Jesus meant when He said to “hate your family,” what Paul meant when he said,“women will be saved in childbearing,” and if “being baptized for the dead” is a biblical practice.  Come join us and learn how not to make gobbledygook out of Scripture.

Worship/Preaching Service, 11 am – last Sunday we began a short message series entitled, “Anchored.”  The first message was titled, “Uncertainty.”  Tomorrow’s message will be titled, “Storms.”  Come and hear how we are incredibly secure if we are “anchored” in Jesus.

I look forward to worshiping with you tomorrow,

Dan Fisher
