I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. Pam continues to improve from her injury slowly, and Val is recovering from the kidney surgery she had yesterday. There are others in our church dealing with similar challenges, and I know they all appreciate your prayers and support.
Independence Celebration
Since Independence Day falls on Friday this year, most folks will experience a 3-day weekend next week. If you will be traveling, we pray for a safe trip and a fun time for you on the 4th. And since the 4th will be next Friday, we will celebrate America's 249th Independence Day next Sunday.
Land update
This week, we learned additional information on the 9.8 acres on Air Depot (just east of I-35). The pipeline that runs along the eastern side of the property is not sufficient for high-occupancy facilities to be constructed nearby. Therefore, a new pipe would have to be installed at our expense. We’re being told that the installation would be around $1 million. I think it goes without saying that this essentially eliminates this piece of property as a future location for our church. That leaves us with the 6-acre property on N. Kelly and Coffee Creek. Be praying that if this is where God wants LifePoint to be, He makes it clear and that if He has some other place for us, He will make us aware of that acreage.
Since we need to have a church business meeting to officially decide what we are going to do, the Executive Team would like to “tentatively” schedule a business meeting for Sunday morning, July 13, at 10:00 am. We will keep you posted if something happens that forces us to postpone the meeting.
