8/8/2026 Message

Hello LifePoint family,

I hope everyone had a great week.  We have many who desperately need our prayers, and as I write this email, a few come immediately to mind:
 

• Barbara Hofmaier as she deals with the unexpected death of her daughter, Diana
• Paul & Sonya Koslosky as they are in Arizona for treatments for Paul’s cancer
• Peggy Burress as she struggles to recover from her hip surgery and her ongoing health

As I have been sharing over the past few weeks, tomorrow, Aug 9, will be our special offering for our construction project at our new facility. Before we even take the offering, approx. $155,000 has already been given!!!! Praise the Lord!

This is an important step for LifePoint, so we will have a special time in the service to pray and give our offerings. I hope you have been praying about donating. I am convinced God is blessing our efforts. But we must be faithful to do our part. Eternity will be changed by our response.

As always, you can donate in person or online. We’ve seen God provide abundantly in our church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in your life and finances. In fact, it’s an area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him.

We will take a few minutes at the beginning of the Pastor’s/BRR class (tomorrow morning) to give you a quick update about the closing costs of the purchase of our new facility on N. Eastern and where we stand financially as we head into construction. This will only be an update, so if you have further questions, Gary Davis and I will be available after the services. We will also have a handout available with a breakdown of the facts and figures.

Next Sunday, Aug 16, Mike Mazzei, candidate for Governor of OK, will be sharing for a few minutes at the beginning of the Pastor’s Class at 10 am. Mr. Mazzei will be sharing why he is running and why he believes he should be our next governor. This is an incredible opportunity to hear from a man who has a decent chance at becoming the Republican nominee for governor in the coming November general election. You won’t want to miss this opportunity. After candidate Mazzei is finished, we’ll continue our study of Revelation.

The week of August 20, we will have a special opportunity to celebrate RSI’s 40th anniversary of reaching people for Christ around the world. LifePoint is honored to partner with RSI in this important ministry and to support the work they are doing to share the Gospel across the globe.
On Sunday, August 23, we will welcome special guests from RSI to our services and hear more about their ministry, the lives being impacted, and the opportunities we have to be involved.
RSI is a ministry well worth knowing and supporting, and we encourage everyone at LifePoint to learn more about their mission and how we can take a greater part in their work.

The Greeter's Ministry needs a couple of folks to assist in the parking lot on Sunday mornings. If you can help, please see Gary Davis. The work our greeters do is so important! Thank you to everyone who serves.

Just a reminder that we have scheduled a date this summer for a baptismal service after church, much like what we did last summer! Mark your calendars for 2 PM, Sunday, August 30, 2026!  If you have not been Scripturally baptized and you want to be placed on the list, click here to go to our website to complete and submit the Baptism Request form.  If you have any questions about your spiritual walk and baptism, contact me.
