Good afternoon LifePoint family,

Important reminder:  Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour tonight when you go to bed.  We finally get back the hour they stole from us last spring!  The one good thing about setting our clocks back in the fall, if anyone forgets, they’ll just get to church an hour early.

Special thank you to Gary Davis
I want to give a special shout-out to Gary Davis for coordinating the LifeBody team that helped move Sonya Lloyd this week. Gary, we couldn’t have pulled it off without your leadership.  I was able to join the team helping load the truck on Thursday but was unable to help out on Friday.  However, I hear we had a great team show up to unload the truck and help get Sonya settled into her new home.  We received a text this morning from Sonya expressing her gratitude for all who helped; telling us she was able to sleep in her own bed Friday night in her new house – and felt perfectly at home and at ease. To everyone who helped make this move happen – thank you.  You guys are the greatest!

Land update
As I reported last week, we’re making slow, but steady progress on the new land acquisition.  This week, we were able to begin discussions with Victoria who will likely be the person to draw up our site plan.  Her team was able to learn that we will not need to rezone the land (that’ll likely us save 3-6 months and a whole lot of headaches) and that all we will need is a “special use” permit from the City of Edmond.  Victoria and the Executive Team will begin planning meetings in the next few weeks to draw up plans that will help us secure that permit so we can then move forward into the final process of securing a building permit in order to take possession of the property. However, this process will take quite some time, so patience is the key.  We’ll keep you posted as we begin checking things off the list.

Tomorrow at LifePoint:

• Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – We will continue the lesson we began last Sunday entitled, “Why doesn’t God stop evil?”  This is the age-old question that haunts many.  We often wonder, if God is a good and all-powerful God, why does He allow evil to happen – even in the lives of believers.  This lesson will answer that question and many others that surround it.  Come join us!
• Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – Last Sunday, I mistakenly said that part 4 was the final message in our present series, “Are we nearing the bottom of the barrel?”  However, we have one more message (part 5) in that series that I will deliver tomorrow.  Here’s the question part 5 will seek to answer: “Is there a remedy for a culture that has hit the bottom?” Come learn the solution for America and for all who have fallen away from a close walk with the Lord.  Personally, you may not be at the bottom of the barrel in your own life, but you know you are living way lower than you should be.  If so, God has a 3-Step remedy for anyone who wants it.
