I’m in AR attending my nephew’s wedding. I’ll be back late tonight – so don’t you worry, I’ll be there bright and early in the morning at UCO so I can preach to Gary Davis! ?
A special thank you to everyone who contributed to our LifeBody offering last Sunday. We received some $5,000 toward the purchase of a car for one of our faithful couples. Therefore, we’re now in the market for a good, dependable car with a reasonable amount of mileage on it. If you have any leads, reach out to us.
Also, I want to give a shout out to everyone who helped us move one of our members this past Wednesday. We had plenty of help and got the job done by lunch! Thank you guys, you’re the greatest.
Update on purchase of the Event Center
We want to have a townhall very soon (maybe next Sunday or the Sunday after Easter) to give everyone a full report and discuss options. Be praying for clarity for the Executive Team.
Easter is almost here!
Can you believe Resurrection Sunday is just two weeks away! This year, it is on Apr 5. Since the resurrection of Jesus is the “capstone” of our faith, Resurrection Sunday is always a special Sunday. Consequently, we try to make that day memorable. We are planning a great service that will include a special commemoration of the Lord’s Supper. Our schedule will change and we will only have one service at 10:30am – 12:15pm. Beth and our hospitality team always “pull out the stops” for us on this day, so arrive early, around 9:30am, for a great time of fellowship and breakfast snacks. Thank you Beth and the whole hospitality team for your incredible service to our church!
Crossroads Clinic annual fundraiser banquet
This year’s Crossroads Clinic fundraiser will be on April 9 at 6:30pm-8:30pm at The Dominion House, 818 N Oak St, Guthrie. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Everett Piper. For more information, see Amy Bachelor.
Tomorrow at LifePoint
As always, I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,
Dan

Tomorrow at LifePoint
- Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10am – we will continue our new teaching series, “Getting Scripture Right.” Tomorrow, we will continue part 3, “What is Hermeneutics & how does it help us properly understand Scripture?” This series is much needed today, and it will aid you in understanding how to get the Bible correct. Come join us.
- Worship/Preaching Service, 11am – we will continue our “Saved” message series with part 2 of “Will the lost suffer eternal conscious torment or be annihilated in hell?” With Kirk and James Cameron’s announcement that they have become believers in “spiritual annihilation,” the internet has gone crazy. Are Kirk and James right or are they just another example of solid believers who have embraced an incorrect position on an important biblical teaching? Will those in hell experience “eternal conscious torment” or be “annihilated” and cease to exist for all eternity? Does it even matter? Come find out.
As always, I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,
Dan
