9/27/2025 Message

Good morning LifePoint,

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Saturday.

Here are a few who recently had surgery and need our prayers (forgive me if I miss anyone):

  • Peggy Burress is home but experiencing a great deal of pain. I know she appreciates our prayers that the surgery solves the problem and that the pain subsides soon.
  • Jackie Allen had heart valve replacement surgery and repair of her aorta this week and is still in ICU in critical but stable condition. They are waiting for her to wake up and begin the long recovery process. I know Dale and the family appreciate your prayers. Dale says you are free to call him if you want to visit.
  • JoAnn Brown is recovering from knee replacement surgery and is doing well. Pray for her continued healing. We’re hoping she can be back in our services soon.

Land update

We continue to make progress in finding someone to create our site plan so we can submit it to the Edmond Planning Commission for a building permit. Once that is accomplished, the property can be deeded to the church, and we can proceed with drawing up detailed plans for our new facility. Pray for wisdom for the E.T. members and Rob Chynoweth as we seek the right architect to work with. Sincere thanks to this team, who are working hard for LifePoint!

Reaching Souls International

As you know, our own Shelly Filkins is part of the staff of the incredible Reaching Souls International Ministry (RS). This is a wonderful ministry that trains foreign national pastors how to reach their own cultures and then supports them financially so they can do the work. Shelly will be manning an RS ministry booth tomorrow in the lobby. Please check out her materials and see how you can expand your personal outreach to lands you may never get to visit and to win those you will only meet once you get to heaven. Only eternity will reveal how vital this ministry is! Thank you, Shelly.

Crossroads Clinic

As a reminder, Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic is one of the ministries LifePoint supports monthly – thanks to your faithful giving. Their work in saving pre-born babies and ministering to their mothers (and sometimes fathers) is so needed and appreciated. I want to thank Director Linda Steward, our own Amy Bachelor, and the rest of the Crossroads staff for their amazing work.  A special thank you to all who attended their annual Walk-4-Life fundraiser last week. I even hear our own “Scary” Dawson made an appearance and completed the 5K walk! Thank you Scary. ?

Women’s Ministry Event, Oct 4
Our Women’s ministry will be hosting “Sharing Christ In the Holy Days” on Oct 4 at 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Will Rogers Center, 3400 NW 36th St., OKC.  This will be a fun time of sharing your favorite holiday dishes/recipes while learning how to better share your faith during the holiday season. More info is available at the welcome center. See Carrey Beth Lehew, Penny Allen, or Pam Fisher for info/questions.

Tomorrow at LifePoint:
  • Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – we will continue a lesson we began last Sunday entitled, “Tolerance or Truth.” Come join us.
  • Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – we got off to a great start on our new message series: “Are we nearing the bottom of the barrel?”. Tomorrow we will examine part 2, “What does the bottom look like?” You won’t want to miss any of this very timely series.

As always, I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow,

Dan Fisher
