8/9/2025 Message

In this newsletter, I want to focus on our present situation and our upcoming vote on the potential purchase of 6 acres located on the northwest corner of the intersection of N. Kelly Ave. and Coffee Creek Rd.  I pray it is helpful.

Vote on land
Most of you are wondering when we will vote on the possible land purchase.  Having consulted with the Executive Team, we’re setting the vote for Sunday, Aug 17, at 10:00 am.  This will be a ballot vote, so you will need to register at the welcome center before 10:00 to receive your ballot.  We will vote and then announce the results later at the end of the Pastor’s/BRR Class that morning.

What a decision to purchase the land will mean
To help us have a better idea of the financial landscape of the decision, I have asked Gary Davis to provide amortization numbers on the loan – if the church chooses to go that route.  An email has been sent to you containing those details and financial statements.

Tomorrow, in the 11:00 am Worship/Preaching service, I will be sharing my personal testimony of leading two other churches through a complete relocation and campus construction project.  I think my story will be helpful and instructive.

Tomorrow at LifePoint
  • Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – we will continue our lesson, “Melchizedek – Mr. Mystery.” The appearance of this mysterious man has raised intrigue and questions for centuries.  Who was Melchizedek, and why does Scripture (especially the book of Hebrews) place such emphasis on him?  Come find out.
  • Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – as I said above, I will be sharing my personal testimony of how God has worked through my 40+ years of ministry to relocate and construct a complete church campus in two of the churches I have had the honor of pastoring.  I think my story will be both inspirational and instructive as we prepare to make a critical decision about the future of LifePoint.

As always, I’m looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
