7/5/2025 Message

Good morning, LifePoint Family,

I hope everyone is having a great Independence Day weekend! If you are traveling with family/friends, I pray you have a wonderful time and safe travel back to us.

Good news on the UCO front

Most of you know that we have been concerned about our being able to meet at UCO beyond this contract year. So, this week I reached out to Catina Johnson and had a wonderful meeting with her. For those who may not know, Catina is the director of the Nigh Building at UCO where Constitution Hall is located. Catina has been an incredible help to us since she became the director of the Nigh Bldg. The meeting confirmed to me that she is not only a great help but a good friend to us as well.

Catina shared that we have been great tenants and that UCO is in no hurry for us to leave. This is great news, takes the pressure off, and gives us the assurance that we will be able to continue meeting at UCO until we find a permanent location. In fact, Catina suggested that we reserve Constitution Hall as far out as we think we may need it. So, we are working on securing it through at least Dec 31, 2028. Catina made it clear that if we purchase land and get a building finished before that time, we will have no financial obligation beyond the time we leave UCO – whenever that might be.

This is such an answer to prayer. Now, we can pursue a permanent location without the fear of having to find another place to meet in the meantime! Thank you, Lord!

Negotiations continue on the N. Kelly/Coffee Creek property

We are presently working with a couple of financial institutions to secure a short-term loan for the property on N. Kelly, should the church decide to purchase the property. Please pray that God’s will becomes evident to us.

Business Meeting next Sunday

Reminder: We have “tentatively” scheduled a churchwide business meeting for Sunday, July 13, at 10:00 am to officially decide if we want to move forward with the purchase of the property on N. Kelly/Coffee Creek. Obviously, there are several contingencies – mainly securing a suitable loan agreement with a local bank that could cause us to postpone the meeting, but for now, the meeting is scheduled for next Sunday.

If we can proceed with the business meeting, all LifePoint members will need to register at the welcome center on their way into the meeting to receive their voting ballot.

This Sunday at LifePoint

• Pastor’s/BRR class, 10:00 am – we will continue our Biblical Types series with the final lesson on the Tabernacle: “The Ark of the Covenant – the real objective.” This has been one of the most rewarding series I have ever taught, and the lessons on the Tabernacle have been a great way to cap off the series. Come join us tomorrow.

• Worship/Preaching service, 11:00 am – we will be celebrating America’s birth in an inspirational service that will include moving videos, songs, and amazing relics from our War of Independence. If you’re in the area, you won’t want to miss it!

LifeBody workday

Our next LifeBody workday will be next Saturday, July 12th, starting at 8:00 am. We will meet at Carole Lee’s home (see Gary Davis or your emailed newsletter for the address). Our plans include tearing down and hauling off an old fence and doing some yard work. Bring your mower, weed eater, chainsaw, shovel, and any other tools you think we might need as we “put feet to our prayers” and lend a hand to our dear sister.

As always, I look forward to worshipping with you tomorrow,
Dan Fisher
