Hello LifePoint family,
I wanted to let you guys know that on Thursday afternoon, Pam missed a step at our daughter’s house and fell. Unfortunately, in doing so, she broke her left foot in at least two places. When she sees an orthopedic specialist early next week, we’re praying that the breaks are not bad enough to need surgery. Suffice it to say, she is in a considerable amount of pain and is finding it difficult to move around. However, with a knee scooter, she’s becoming more mobile. Obviously, she appreciates your prayers.
On a more positive note, we were able to pay the deposit on the land as discussed during the last town hall meeting. That will hold it for our church for 30 days.
Town Hall Meeting
This Sunday at 10:00 am, we have our second town hall meeting. We’ve been looking at every other piece of property we’ve been made aware of, and we will bring you an updated report as to our findings. It likely goes without saying that it is critical that everyone who is able attends this town hall. Come ready to discuss our future steps and bring your questions with you. We will do our very best to answer every question.
So, here’s how this Sunday will look:
Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10:00 am – town hall meeting to discuss our plan going forward
Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – this Sunday is Father’s Day, so we’ll be honoring our dads and I’ll be preaching a special message about the importance of having “real” men in the church, especially when the American church seems to become more and more “effeminate” with each passing year. This, I believe, is having a devastating effect on the church and its ability to fulfill its mission.
I’m looking forward to seeing you this Sunday,
Dan Fisher
