We’re making progress on the land
We want you to know that we are moving forward by taking early steps to position our church to eventually own and build on our new property we were given a few weeks ago. (We’re still celebrating God’s goodness & grace which made that happen!)
Our own Rob Chynoweth, a structural engineer who has a great deal of experience in commercial construction, has agreed to assist the Executive Team in navigating us through the process. Rob, along with others, will help us secure those who will develop our site plan and overall master building plan – essential elements in our petitioning the City of Edmond for approval for eventual construction. Rob is familiar with many of the individuals we have worked with on past construction projects and others who will help us complete all the preliminary studies/drawings so our attorney can present our application to Edmond leaders. In addition, the present owners who are gifting the land are graciously assisting – offering critical advice/suggestions and recommending key people who can help us accomplish these tasks.
When we have a site plan and master building plan, our attorney will be off to the City of Edmond for approval. Once we have Edmond’s stamp of approval, we will be ready to receive the actual deed to the land from the present owners. When that is completed, the E.T. will report back to the congregation with a status report. It is at that point that we can finalize architectural drawings and decide the financial plan we will pursue for construction. Then … construction begins!
Obviously, this process will take many months. However, we hope to have the site plan, master building plan, approval from Edmond, and the land deeded to LifePoint by the early months of 2026. Please continue to pray that God will guide us and run interference for us in this tedious process.

Baptism service tomorrow afternoon Tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 pm, we will gather at the HOA swimming pool (see Gary Davis or your email inbox for the physical address) for our first LifePoint baptism service. We will have access to two restrooms, so there will be a place for those baptized to change into dry clothing. We sent out an email this week to all the candidates, instructing them on what to do. But as a reminder, we encourage both guys and gals to wear a colored t-shirt and shorts to be baptized in, to bring a couple of towels, and dry clothes to wear home. Everyone is invited to attend the service. We should be finished by 3:00 pm, so come and celebrate this important step with all of our folks who are being baptized. If you’re uncertain about your own baptism – or salvation If you were baptized as a child (or sometime in your past) and you are not certain you were actually born again at that time, or you simply don’t think you understood what baptism really means, we encourage you to consider being re-baptized. If you need to visit with me or one of our LifePoint leaders about it, feel to do so anytime tomorrow morning at UCO or come forward during the invitation. Tomorrow at LifePoint
