I hope everyone is staying warm in this weather.  If anyone needs an extra coat or extra firewood, just let us know, and we’ll come running! HA

I know all of you are anxious to hear what was given last Sunday toward the remodel plans for our new facility. In the 11:00am service tomorrow, we’ll be sharing the total. You’ll want to be there! 

Tomorrow morning, Mike Mazzei, candidate for Governor of OK, will be speaking for a few minutes at the beginning of the Pastor’s/BRR Class at 10 am. Mr. Mazzei will be sharing why he is running and why he believes he should be our next governor. This is an incredible opportunity to hear from a man who has a decent chance at becoming the Republican nominee for governor in the coming November general election. You won’t want to miss this opportunity.

Mike will be in the lobby at 9:30 am for meet & great before he shares in the class. If you want to meet him or ask any questions, this will be a great opportunity.

After candidate Mazzei is finished speaking, we’ll continue with our study of Revelation.

As most of you know, Reaching Souls International is a ministry we wholeheartedly endorse and support. Through your faithful giving, LBC contributes to this ministry every month. I am convinced that the strategy RSI uses to reach the lost around the globe is the best I have encountered.

Tomorrow, we will have the wonderful opportunity to hear from Jeff Bradley, RSI Chief Development Officer, and Pastor Paul Karani, a faithful pastor from Kenya. These men will not only share inspirational stories “from the field,” but they will help each of us to better understand how all of us through LBC and RSI are reaching around the world with the Gospel. It’ll be great!!

Even though our church does not officially endorse candidates, because of the biblical principles we teach and preach, we always want to vote according to those biblical, conservative beliefs. Consequently, the correct way we should vote is normally pretty obvious.

That said, as a pastor, and because of my stand over the years, people often ask who and what I am supporting each election cycle.

To help answer those questions, I have found Charlie's Picks to be particularly helpful. Charlie Meadows is a stalwart Christian conservative and a friend of many years. I always enthusiastically recommend his “Picks” as a great guide when deciding how to vote. Though Charlie and I don’t always agree on everything, generally, I find myself making the same recommendations he does.

“Charlie’s Picks” are available on our church website for those interested in seeing who Charlie is picking for the runoff elections later this month. Some of the races may be outside your district, but others will definitely be ones you will have the opportunity on which to vote. Check out Charlie’s picks.

Since we had to postpone our tour to Plymouth & Boston last spring, we’re attempting to reschedule a tour for Oct 5-9, 2026. Although we have not yet determined the exact cost, it will likely be around $900-$1000 per person.

If you think you might be interested in going, please let us know asap by completing the brief form at the link below (blue button). This will not obligate you to go; it will simply give us an indication of how many are interested. The time to pay and secure your spot will come in a couple of weeks. But we only have 6 weeks to pull everything together, so time is of the essence. Please let us know if you’re interested.

The Greeter's Ministry needs a couple of folks to assist in the parking lot on Sunday mornings. If you can help, please see Gary Davis. The work our greeters do is so important! Thank you to everyone who serves.

Just a reminder that we have a baptismal service after church in 2 weeks, much like what we did last summer!
