4/5/2024 Message from Dan

Hello LifePoint Bible Church!

“Church” – that has a nice ring, doesn't it? In case you haven’t heard, last Sunday we not only voted to “officially” become a church, but we also decided to embrace the name “LifePoint Bible Church.”

And, what an incredible Resurrection Sunday we enjoyed last week. Although it is difficult to count in a room so full, it appears we had somewhere between 235-250 in attendance!

Special thanks to those who worked so hard to make last Sunday’s gathering so great:
  • Beth McDowell and her team for providing such an incredible breakfast buffet and for setting up our Communion tables.
  • Jerry and Nan Hymer and Val Tharp for taking such amazing pictures for us. These are going to be invaluable as we work to put together a church directory so we can all attach faces to names.
  • Hadley Hockensmith and Robert Lehew for helping to make our worship experience truly great.
  • Our Guest Services Ministry for working so hard to make everyone attending feel so welcome.

This Sunday, April 7, we will enjoy our first gathering at UCO in Constitution Hall. Constitution Hall is in the Nigh Building, the first building you will see as you drive onto the UCO campus from 2nd Street. Just drive north from 2ndStreet, curve to the right, and then park in either of the two parking lots to your immediate left (on the east side of the Nigh Bldg). Parking is free on Sunday, so don’t worry about paying. (See map below.)

Enter the Nigh Bldg on the east side under the drive through portico, turn to the left, and walk down the hallway until you see the Constitution Hall Lounge where there will be breakfast snacks, coffee, and tea available. Constitution Hall is just past the lounge area. Our Guest Services Ministry Team will be there to help guide you.

Our Sunday morning schedule will be:
  •  9:30 am - 10:00 am: Snack/fellowship time - Constitution Hall Lounge
  • 10:00 am - 10:45 am: Children’s Bible class - Room 202 (just across from Constitution Hall)
  • 10:00 am - 10:45 am: Pastor’s Class - Constitution Hall
  • 10:45 am - 11:00 am: Break
  • 11:00 am - 12:15 pm: Worship service

This Sunday, I will be sharing an important message about forgiveness and reconciliation and how they are not the same thing. You’ll want to hear this important and timely message, so come early for some great fellowship, invite someone to join us, and let's enjoy our first worship gathering at UCO this Sunday.

Pam, I, and the LifePoint Team look forward to seeing you there,

Dan Fisher
