We are sending out our church-wide email early this week since Val will be undergoing kidney surgery on Thursday at noon, and because we have no idea how her recovery will go or how long it will take. So, to make certain we get this week’s information to you, you’re hearing from me early. I know Val appreciates your prayers for a safe procedure and a quick recovery. She said she has total peace in knowing God is in control. So many in our church family are dealing with health and other issues. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. If you would like to be a part of the prayer team or have a prayer request, please click here. We are here for you.

I want to express my special thanks to Jon Echols for sharing with us last Sunday. Jon did a great job sharing why he is running to become our next state attorney general. As you know, Jon has been my good friend for many years, and I believe he is a worthy candidate for you to consider. As for me, I’ve already made it clear that I will be voting for Jon for our state’s next attorney general in the Republican primary this June. I encourage you to do your own homework and vote for the person you believe is the best choice for our highest state law enforcement officer.

Jake Merrick is coming to LifePoint
Jake Merrick is another good friend of mine who is running for a critical statewide office in OK. Jake is running for governor of OK and will be with us in our 11:00 am service on May 31. Although I know Jake to be a great guy and a committed Christ follower, it will be good to hear him share why he believes he is the best choice for our next governor. You need to make certain you are in our service on May 31 to hear and meet Jake. As with Jon Echols, I have already decided that I will be voting for Jake in the Republican primary this June. As always, I challenge you to check out all the candidates and vote for the person you think is the best choice to lead our state.

Amber Canary is sharing this Sunday at LifePoint
Amber Canary is a conservative Christian who is running for OK House District 81. District 81 covers three zip codes in the Edmond area, so many of you likely live in that area. I met Amber a few months ago at LifePoint, and she certainly seems to be a great candidate. She has become a regular attender of our church, and I felt it would be good to give Amber a few minutes in our 11:00 am service so that those of you who live in Dist. 81 can hear and meet her. So, Amber will be sharing for a few minutes this Sunday to let everyone know why she is running for the state House of Representatives and why she believes she is the right person to represent Dist. 81.

Update on the Event Center purchase

We should know very soon if the bank has accepted our offer to purchase the Event Center on N. Eastern. As soon as we know something definitive, we will let you know. Please continue to pray that God keeps us in His perfect will through this process.

This Sunday at LifePoint

  • Pastor’s/BRR Class, 10 am – This Sunday, we will begin a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Revelation. Needless to say, this is an intriguing and exciting study. You will want to be here and get in on the ground floor of this challenging and rewarding study. I look forward to journeying through this amazing book with you.
  • Worship/Preaching Service, 11:00 am – we will continue our sermon series, “Anchored,” with part 3: “Overcoming.” What does it mean to be an overcomer, and what does overcoming look like? Does it fit the stereotype the world uses? So far, I think this message series has been “just what the doctor ordered,” and many of you have said it has been illuminating and encouraging. This Sunday promises to be the best message in this series yet. You won’t want to miss it. If you would like to review previous messages in this series, click here.
As Mother's Day draws near, we want to remember and honor the women who have faithfully dedicated their lives to their children. The impact of a Christian mother can radiate for generations and into eternity.
Ladies, be sure to register for the Summer Bible study at the LifePoint Women’s ministry table in the foyer. See announcements below for more details.

I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday,

Dan Fisher
